Pharmaron, the leading Contract Research Organization (CRO), is seeking a talented and driven Business Development professional (Manager/Senior Manager) to join our dynamic team in the UK.
 
In this pivotal role, you will:
  • Forge strategic partnerships with potential clients across the UK, leveraging Pharmaron's global platform and extensive services.
  • Champion Pharmaron's expertise, fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with clients.
  • Manage and enhance existing partnerships, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with our international scientific teams.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to continuously improve Pharmaron's service offerings and commitment to excellence.
  •  Manage a critical territory and actively promote discovery and manufacturing services for small molecules and other modalities, including ADCs and peptides
 
You will be responsible for:
  • Achieving agreed sales and profit targets.
  • Identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with target clients.
  • Possessing a broad understanding of Pharmaron's capabilities to engage in comprehensive client discussions.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to identify cross-selling opportunities and develop compelling value propositions.
  • Actively promoting Pharmaron, positioning it as a trusted partner and converting inquiries into profitable contracts.
  • Working with scientists to formulate proposals and presentations, ensuring realistic client expectations and project feasibility.
  • Identifying and sharing valuable market intelligence within the organization.
  • Supporting the broader Business Development team through special projects.
 
We are looking for:
  •  BSc / MSc in organic or analytical Chemistry (PhD preferred) and business   credentials desirable.
  •  CRO industry experience (Senior Scientist, Project Leader or Project Manager)   with strong client-facing experience.
  •  Deep understanding of the CRO and Pharmaceutical market, small molecule   discovery, development, and manufacturing processes.
  •  Business Development experience in B2B services with proven track records of   utilizing strategies to grow the business through establishing new partnerships and   generating new revenue streams with existing, immature partners
  • Commercial acumen, strong negotiation skills, and excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proven leadership, financial, and IT skills.
