Engineering Planner

 A Engineering Planner to perform a wide range of activities associated with the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities on the manufacturing equipment, facilities, and utility systems at our Liverpool site to meet the requirements for manufacturing a dynamic and diverse portfolio of biotech products.
This is a high-profile role reporting to the Engineering manager and would be suitable for a capable, experienced maintenance engineer or planner familiar with the requirements of the Pharmaceutical or similarly regulated Industrial Sector.

Requirements:
Essential:
  • Recognised apprenticeship with BTEC / City & Guilds in Engineering Discipline
  • Experience working with CMMS (Blue Mountain RAM desirable)
  • Experienced with with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings, especially P & IDs, GA’s etc
  • Experience in Reliability Centred Maintenance, FMECA analysis or similar progressive maintenance optimisation regimens.
  • Demonstrated experience of managing & controlling the work of contractors carrying out maintenance on complex Pharma and Analytical equipment
  • Confident in own technical knowledge and able to challenge existing maintenance practices when required
  • Good teamwork skills and adaptable approach in working within an Engineering function
  • Be comfortable in your ability to deliver clear communications to both internal and external customers 
Desirable:
  • Experience working within MHRA/FDA guidelines
  • Extensive Pharmaceutical experience
Key roles and responsibilities:
  • Leveraging the existing Maintenance Management System to organise internal or contract labour necessary to execute the activity and plan the work with affected departments so as to minimise impact on their operations
  • Update the maintenance management system database as new assets are commissioned and ensure that they each have effective maintenance plans defined
  • Work with the Engineering Team & External resources to define and implement Reliability Centred Maintenance initiatives and eliminate Non-Value adding works.
  • Own and Drive Improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness
  • Oversee Engineering administrator allowing updates and reviews are completed right first time.
  • Manage, plan and resource the site Engineering shutdowns and produce Engineering activity plans for site operations departments.
  • To be responsible for effective planning and scheduling of maintenance activities for a team of engineers.
  • To generate work orders and job plans according to the schedule in the CMMS system & work effectively with the Maintenance Manager to schedule those works.
  • To generate new asset records on the CMMS system in accordance with relevant procedures
  • Shutdown planning for the Engineering function agreeing timelines with stake holders and seeing execution through to handover. 
  • Work with the site planning team to clearly communicate Engineering maintenance, calibration, project and shutdown activities on site.
