Finance Administrator - Accounts Receivable – Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months
Role based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire

The position we are seeking to fill is a Finance Administrator – Accounts receivable (FTC) to support the finance function through the administration of the Accounts Receivable activities covering 3 of our UK sites on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Key roles and responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have responsibilities for:
- Raise and distribute sales invoices and credit notes in multiple currencies.
- Respond to and deal with internal and external enquires relating to accounts receivable activities.
- Monitor the accounts receivable ledger and maintain clients' portals and upload invoices.
- On weekly basis, produce accurate debtor's report and reconciliation reports.
- Update banking transactions onto cashbook and reconcile
- On a weekly basis, produce the Cash Collections/Forecast report and input as required into the preparation of the cash flow forecast.
- Monitor and redirect, as appropriate the Finance In box.
- Produce, monitor, distribute and follow up on "missed milestone" report.
- Monitor and report cash invoicing for projects showing 100% complete.
- Filing and other administration tasks and housekeeping as required.
- Chasing and reducing the debt.
- New Customer Account set up as required.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required within the finance department.
Requirements:
Essential:
- 3 years’ experience in relevant role within a fast-paced finance department with sound knowledge of sales ledger processes
- Experience of accounts receivable
- Access Dimensions/Similar ERP system
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills and numeracy skills
- Proficient in Excel with good working knowledge of other MS Office packages
- Well organised and able to prioritise concurrent deadlines
Desirable:
- Further education qualification in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, or an Accounting Qualification (e.g. AAT)
