Job Introduction

We are looking for:
 
An Internal Comms & Employer Branding Specialist to strengthen internal communication channels and execute internal communication plan and cultivate a positive employer brand, ensuring alignment with Pharmaron vision, mission and values. This plays a pivotal role in support of the Communication Pillar and Vision & Values Pillar under Pharmaron UK People Strategy to foster a transparent and engaging work environment, as well as promoting Pharmaron as an employer of choice to current employees and prospective talents.

Key roles and responsibilities:
 
 
Internal Communication
  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies and plan to enhance employee engagement and promote a shared understanding of Pharmaron vision, mission and values.
  • Curate and disseminate relevant communication content (for example newsletter, publications etc.) through various channels to foster a sense of community and unity among employees.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders within Pharmaron to gather information and share success stories, achievements and updates within the organization. 
  • Support, project manage and organise departmental townhalls within Pharmaron which include content development and advisory on storyline and talking points to leaders. 
  • Oversee and actively manage the content of Pharmaron employee intranet to ensure it remain relevant, updated and user-friendly.
  • Collect feedback from employees to continuously improve internal communication strategies and address areas of enhancement.
 
Employer Branding
  • Strategize and implement initiatives to enhance employer brand to help attract top talent and retain key employees.
  • Create compelling content that highlights Pharmaron Employer Value Proposition (EVP) both internally and externally through various channels. 
  • Monitor and manage online and offline platforms to ensure a positive and consistent employer brand image. 
  • Support to coordinate employer branding events, career fairs and conferences to enhance Pharmaron’s employer brand.  
 
Requirements: 
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related fields preferable.
  • Previous experience in internal communication will be essential with some experience in employer branding beneficial.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, digital platforms, social media and other communication tools. 
  • Experience in managing and prioritizing a varied workload whilst working accurately under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills – a strong team player.
  • Creative thinking and ability to innovate in the realm of internal communication and employer branding.
  • Strategic thinking ability to accurately understand business needs, identify root causes to inform solutioning in a structured manner.
  • Project management skills.
  • Competent in data manipulation and analysis including the ability to present trends and findings to a non-expert audience.
  • Evidence of strong motivation for continued learning.
  • Dedicated, unwavering desire to do/deliver the best.

Pharmaron acquired the Hoddesdon campus, consisting of several purpose built scientific and administrative buildings together with a purpose built conference area in February 2017. The research building has more than 5,000m2 of premier R&D space and houses an established Process Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Drug Discovery teams. In addition, a Formulation Development team was also recently established. The Hoddesdon site has state-of-the-art Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standard facilities for the development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), Formulation Development (FD) and Process Chemistry (PC).
