About the Role

We have a new opening for a Purchasing Administrator and Stock Controller to join our team at Rushden. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in purchasing and inventory management within a dynamic and growing organisation.

In this role, you will provide administrative support for purchasing activities, maintain accurate stock control, and act as the point of contact for deliveries to Goods-In. You’ll play a key part in ensuring timely procurement and efficient inventory management across the site.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate competitive pricing and manage purchase orders to ensure timely procurement.
  • Maintain accurate stock records using inventory systems and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Monitor stock levels, report demand changes, and deliver items to departments on schedule.
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods; address quality or quantity issues with suppliers.
  • Act as the main contact for purchasing queries, order tracking, and courier deliveries.
  • Ensure all documentation and inventory updates are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • GCSEs or equivalent (including Maths and English).
  • Basic administrative experience (including internships or work placements).
  • Exposure to purchasing or inventory processes in a business environment.
  • Basic understanding of purchasing and stock control principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Good numerical and data entry skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).

Desirable:

  • NVQ or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
