Requirements:
- BSc (Hons) or MSc in Analytical Chemistry or Chemistry.
- Relevant experience in an Analytical Chemistry laboratory.
- Significant expertise in HPLC and/or UPLC methods.
- Hands-on expertise and up-to-date knowledge of other analytical methodologies.
- Experience working to GLP and GMP.
You will have a background in Analytical Chemistry combined with a solid expertise in HPLC and potentially GC, SFC, or other analytical methodologies utilized to characterize APIs. The role is to support chemistry projects, characterizing Starting Materials, Intermediates and APIs and collaborates effectively with Analytical Chemistry colleagues.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Analysing API’s, Intermediates, Starting Materials and Raw Materials via HPLC and other analytical methods.
- Working on assigned tasks to tight deadlines.
- Able to step in and learn new techniques to support projects.
- Ability to solve scientific problems.
- Able to work effectively in a GMP laboratory.

Pharmaron Hoddesdon campus consists of several purpose built scientific and administrative buildings together with a conference area, canteen, carparking and onsite GYM facilities. The chemistry research building has more than 5,000m2 of premier R&D space and houses an established Process Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Material Sciences and Drug Discovery teams. A Product Development team is also collocated on site together with a DMPK team. The Hoddesdon site has state-of-the-art Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standard facilities for the development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), Product Development (FD) and Analytical Chemistry (AC). The Analytical Chemistry (AC) Team at the Hoddesdon site supports the chemistry functions and our science partners with advanced analytical solutions that help deliver our clients’ programmes and ultimately progress medicines to the market. Having recently undergone a period of growth and expansion with the construction of a new laboratory containing over 50 fume hoods, we are looking for Senior Analytical Scientists with a background in Analytical Chemistry.
