About Pharmaron

Pharmaron is a global CRO helping pharma and biotech companies bring new therapies to life. With over 21,000 employees across 23 sites in the UK, US and China, we support drug discovery through to manufacturing with fully integrated, high-quality services.

We’re proud of the impact we make—last year alone we supported over 780 discovery projects, 1,000+ CMC programmes and more than 1,000 clinical trials. Our teams work across small molecules, biologics and gene therapies, supporting over 3,000 global customers.

Our Cramlington Site

Located just north of Newcastle, our Cramlington facility has a strong legacy of cGMP manufacturing for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), from pilot scale to commercial metric-ton production. With more than 100 cubic metres of reactor capacity, the site has been successfully inspected by the MHRA, FDA and multiple global regulatory authorities.

We operate from small-scale laboratory development through to large-scale manufacture and also provide chemistry and analytical development services.
